DreamGF has the deepest character builder we’ve seen in this category, and its image generation is the thing reviewers praise most consistently. But that polish comes with some real problems, and the renewal pricing will catch you off guard if you’re not paying attention.

At HushVerified, we create accounts and read the pricing pages and policy documents ourselves, and we cross-check everything else against independent reviews and real user feedback. DreamGF is a special case because there’s almost no independent feedback out there. Trustpilot holds only a handful of reviews, we found no meaningful community discussion anywhere, and most of what ranks for “DreamGF” is third-party promotion. That puts more weight than usual on the documents DreamGF publishes itself, and where a judgement below comes from other reviewers rather than from us, we say so.

Here’s a quick overview. The advertised $12.99/month price only applies to your first billing period; after that, you’re locked into a much higher rate. Image generation quality is the most praised feature in the limited reviews that exist, and honestly, it’s the strongest thing the service has going for it. The biggest issue users report is the AI’s memory, which reviewers say falls apart even within a single long conversation. Users describe the voice output as robotic and the pre-built characters as scripted, and third-party testing puts the free tier at roughly six or seven messages — barely enough to test anything. There are also impersonator apps in the Apple App Store and Google Play that have nothing to do with the real DreamGF, and you need to know how to spot them.

We’ll break down the deep character builder, the hidden renewal prices, and everything in between. That way, you can decide if DreamGF is worth your money.

What is DreamGF and who’s behind it?

DreamGF runs entirely in your browser. There’s no official app for your phone or desktop, so everything works through the web, whether you’re on a laptop or mobile browser. That’s the first thing to understand before you compare DreamGF against other AI companion services, because it shapes how you’ll actually use the product.

The service is operated by DreamAI SRL, a legally registered company in Bucharest, Romania (trade registry J40/12952/2023, ID 48479324). That matters more than it might sound. Because the operator is based in the EU, the General Data Protection Regulation applies to your data, giving you rights most AI companion services don’t offer. It’s a small but meaningful difference in a category full of anonymous offshore shells.

Here’s what the platform actually gives you:

Text chat with your AI companion
Voice messages and live voice calls
On-demand image generation, so you can request a visual whenever you want one
Roleplay mode for more immersive, scenario-driven conversations
Detailed character customization covering face, body, clothing, ethnicity, age, and personality traits

The character builder is genuinely deep, and it’s the one area where several comparisons rate DreamGF the deepest in its class. You can dial in everything from facial features to personality quirks before you ever start a conversation. The one notable gap is video: video generation isn’t available — reviewers note it has been listed as “coming soon” for roughly two years — and the official pages don’t mention video at all.

Every interaction runs through a token system. Here’s how the math works:

150 tokens included per month
Creating a companion costs 20 tokens
Generating an image costs 10 tokens
Sending a voice message costs 3 tokens
A voice call costs 7 tokens per minute

The token economy shapes everything. With 150 tokens a month, you can create a character and generate a handful of images, or make a few short voice calls, before you start burning through your allowance. Extra token packs run from $2.99 to $179.99 if you need more.

There’s only one membership level, available with monthly, quarterly, or annual billing. No tiers, no add-on subscriptions, and no premium features to unlock. You get the same features regardless of which term you pick. As for the free side: the homepage advertises a free trial with up to 50 bonus

DreamGF's homepage: an AI girlfriend app headline, a Create AI Girl button and a Free Trial badge, above a featured-in row naming Forbes, Sifted and Daily Star messages a day, but the pricing page mentions no free tier at all, and third-party testing reports only six or seven messages before the subscribe prompt — enough to get a feel for the interface, but not much more.

Where DreamGF actually shines

Let’s give DreamGF its due. There are several areas where it shines, even with the problems we’ll get to later.

Image generation is the standout feature, and it’s the one thing consistently praised across every review we found. Reviewers describe the results as sharp, detailed, and fast. If visuals matter to you, this is the strongest reason to give DreamGF a look.

The character builder is the most granular we’ve seen in this category, and several comparisons rate it the deepest in its class. You can fine-tune face shape, hair, body type, ethnicity, clothing, and personality traits, then keep adjusting until the character feels exactly right.

Signup is quick. Creating an account and getting into the character builder took us under a minute, and reviewers consistently describe the process as frictionless. Reviewers also report chat responses coming back within seconds; fast responses are among the few consistent bits of praise in the reviews that do exist.

Roleplay mode is another plus. You can set scenes and steer the conversation toward a scenario instead of generic small talk, which gives interactions more direction than a plain chat window.

You’re not limited to one companion, either. You can create and switch between multiple custom characters under one account — just remember each new companion costs 20 tokens to create.

Voice messages and calls are available, though the quality gets criticized. We’ll get into the specifics in the next section, but it’s worth knowing the option exists at all — plenty of rivals don’t offer live voice calls.

If you prioritize visuals and customization, DreamGF is worth serious consideration despite its flaws. The image quality and character depth are the two things that set it apart, and they matter most if those are the features you care about.

What users complain about most

The problems with DreamGF are what really matter if you’re trying to decide whether to subscribe. We’ve rounded up the most common complaints from the reviews that exist. Some of these are annoyances you can live with. Others are the kind that make people cancel after the first billing cycle.

The biggest issue is the memory, cited by nearly every reviewer — one described it as “degraded significantly beyond 10–15 minutes.” Users report that the AI forgets details shared minutes earlier: you tell your companion your favorite movie or a life detail, bring it up shortly after, and get a blank stare, or the AI recalls it incorrectly. It reportedly makes the conversation feel like starting over even when you’re not.

Image generation is reported to have a consistency problem. Reviewers say the same settings can produce noticeably different faces or body types from one request to the next, so your carefully crafted companion might not look the same in every image — which directly contradicts the marketing’s promise of consistent characters. That’s a small annoyance until it suddenly matters, especially when the character builder is the main reason you signed up.

Voice output is another sore point: reviewers call it “weak” and “synthetic,” with flat delivery and little natural inflection. Pre-built characters are also reported to fall into templated responses — the harshest Trustpilot critics call them “very cheap primitive AI bots” and the service “way overpriced.”

The free tier is reported to cut off abruptly after six or seven messages, giving you almost no real test of the service, with images locked behind the subscription — our own free account showed every gallery image blurred behind a subscribe prompt. And video generation, per reviewers promised for years, remains absent.

The token system feels stingy once you do subscribe. Your 150 monthly tokens only cover fifteen images or about twenty minutes of voice calls, and that’s before you factor in the 20 tokens it costs just to create a companion. You’ll be buying token packs sooner than you expect.

Finding authentic user feedback on DreamGF is nearly impossible. Most search results are third-party promotions, not real reviews, and there’s no meaningful community discussion anywhere. That lack of independent voices makes it harder to know what you’re getting into, which is part of why the company’s own pricing, refund and privacy pages carry so much weight in this review.

These issues, especially the reported memory problems, are dealbreakers for some users. If you need a companion that remembers who you are and what you’ve told it, the reviews suggest DreamGF will frustrate you within the first serious conversation.

Pricing: the intro hook vs. what you’ll actually pay

Now, the pricing is where DreamGF gets sneaky. Every price you see advertised on the site is an introductory rate, and the real cost kicks in after your first billing period. The renewal numbers are dramatically higher than what you’ll be quoted upfront, so it’s essential to know exactly what you’re agreeing to before you hand over your card.

Here’s how the three plans break down:

	Monthly	Quarterly	Annual
Intro price	$12.99	$29.97 ($9.99/mo)	$69.99 ($5.83/mo)
Renewal price	$25.99/mo	$77.97/quarter ($25.99/mo)	$311.88/year ($25.99/mo)
Effective monthly after intro	$25.99	$25.99	$25.99

Do the math yourself and it’s obvious: $77.97 divided by 3 equals $25.99, and $311.88 divided by 12 equals $25.99. After your intro period, every single plan lands at the same $25.99 monthly rate. The annual plan is the worst offender, jumping from $5.83 a month to $25.99 — a roughly 346% increase at renewal. And since there’s only one membership level, you can’t downgrade to a cheaper tier to dodge the hike. Your only options are the three billing terms, and they all converge on the same number eventually.

The pricing page itself tells you something about how DreamGF operates. The intro rates sit under a red “LIMITED TIME OFFER” banner with a countdown clock — and when we looked, that countdown sat at 0 hours, 0 minutes, 0 seconds while the offer carried on regardless. The urgency is decoration: these are the standard rates every new subscriber sees, dressed up as a deal about to expire. It fits a broader impression we got that parts of the site simply look half-maintained — an expired timer still on display, and polish that doesn’t match the quality of the image engine underneath.

DreamGF's pricing page: a limited-time-offer banner with the countdown stuck at 0:00:00, intro prices struck through from $25.99, $77.97 and $311.88, and the no-adult-transaction billing claim

On top of the subscription, everything is token-metered. Here’s what you get and what it costs:

150 tokens included per month
Creating a companion costs 20 tokens
Generating an image costs 10 tokens
Sending a voice message costs 3 tokens
A voice call costs 7 tokens per minute

If you burn through your monthly allowance, extra token packs run from $2.99 to $179.99 depending on how much you need.

The refund policy: there isn’t one

This matters more than the token maths, because it decides what an impulse subscription actually costs you. DreamGF publishes a refund policy at dreamgf.ai/refund, and under the heading “Non-Refundable Policy” it says, in full:

Due to the costs associated with running our GPU infrastructure and the nature of our services, we do not offer refunds for subscription fees or transactions unless required by applicable consumer protection laws.

There is no cooling-off window named anywhere on the page — not seven days, not three, not one. There is no procedure for requesting a refund either; the page just points you at support. And the policy is explicit that the free trial is meant to be your entire evaluation period: “If users choose to proceed with a subscription after the free trial, it indicates their satisfaction with the service and their understanding of our non-refundable policy.”

Two honest caveats. The policy says “subscription fees or transactions” and never mentions tokens by name, so we can’t tell you exactly how an unused token pack would be treated. And DreamGF’s own wording concedes that consumer protection law can override the policy — DreamAI SRL is an EU company, so if you’re buying from inside the EU you may have statutory rights here regardless of what the page says. We’re a review site, not your lawyer; what we can tell you is that the company’s stated position is no refunds, and you should price your first month accordingly.

One more warning before you commit. If you search for DreamGF in the Apple App Store or Google Play, you’ll find apps using the name that have nothing to do with the real service. They come from unrelated developers, and one of them sells a $129.99 “lifetime” tier. That deal is not DreamGF, and it won’t give you access to the actual platform. The real DreamGF runs entirely in your browser, with no official app anywhere. Don’t get burned by an impersonator.

Is DreamGF legit and safe?

The short answer to whether DreamGF is legit: yes, with some caveats. The company behind it, DreamAI SRL, is legally registered in Bucharest, Romania, with a real trade registry number (J40/12952/2023) and company ID (48479324). That’s a rare level of transparency in a niche where many competitors hide behind anonymous offshore shells and unverifiable domain registrations. ScamAdviser rates the site “Very Likely Safe,” and we specifically searched for patterns of billing or chargeback complaints and found none.

Because the company is based in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation applies to everything DreamGF does with your information. That’s not a small detail. GDPR gives you enforceable rights to access, correct, delete, and port your data, and it holds the company accountable for how it handles your personal information. Most AI companion services we’ve looked at offer none of this.

The privacy policy reflects that regulatory reality. It explicitly lists all eight GDPR rights and commits to responding to any request within 30 days. That’s a concrete, measurable promise you can actually hold them to, which is more than most competitors even attempt. There’s also a dedicated complaints portal at complaints.dreamgf.ai.

There are gaps worth knowing before you decide whether the trade-offs work for you. Staff can read your chats if you file a support ticket about them. The policy presents this as a safeguard, and limiting it to support tickets is a reasonable one, but you should still know that a human might review your private conversations with your companion. Keep that in mind if you share anything sensitive.

The policy also doesn’t say whether your chat data is used to train the company’s AI models — we checked, and it simply doesn’t address the question either way. That’s a real gap you won’t get a straight answer on, and the ambiguity is worth noting.

Data retention is described only as “as long as necessary,” with no specific timeframes attached. There’s no detail on how long your conversations, images, or personal details are kept after you stop using the service.

On the financial side, checkout takes card payments and also cryptocurrency, and DreamGF says it doesn’t store your card data itself. Discretion is clearly part of the pitch: the pricing page states outright that there will be “No Adult transaction in your bank statement.” That’s the company’s own claim — we haven’t seen the actual statement descriptor, so treat it as their promise rather than something we’ve verified. The bigger financial risk isn’t payment security; it’s the steep renewal pricing we covered earlier, which roughly doubles the monthly plan and more than quadruples the annual total after the intro period ends.

Overall, DreamGF is more accountable than most of its competitors. A registered company, GDPR compliance, and a privacy policy that names specific rights and response times all point to a legitimate operation rather than a fly-by-night scam. But the gaps around chat monitoring, data retention, and model training mean you’re still trusting them on some important details. It’s a legitimate service with legitimate privacy questions, and you should go in with both eyes open.

There is no official DreamGF app — here’s the trap

A crucial warning: DreamGF is strictly browser-based, and there are no app links anywhere on its official pages — yet the app stores are full of “DreamGF” listings. Every one we found comes from an unrelated third-party developer simply using the name. None of them are affiliated with DreamAI SRL, the company that actually operates the service. One of these apps even sells a $129.99 “lifetime” tier, which sounds like a deal until you realize your money goes to a complete stranger and gets you zero access to the real platform.

The actual web app works fine in a mobile browser, so you’re not losing much by skipping the app stores. What you won’t get is push notifications or offline access, but those are minor trade-offs compared to the alternative. The bigger risk is that an unofficial app sits between you and your login details or payment information when you sign in or enter your card.

The safe path is simple. Always access the service through its real domain (dreamgf.ai) and ignore any app store listing that uses the name. If you’ve already paid one of these lookalikes, contact your bank or payment provider immediately to dispute the charge. The sooner you act, the better your chances of getting your money back.

How DreamGF stacks up against the alternatives

DreamGF has several direct competitors, and knowing your alternatives is worth it before you commit to a subscription. Here’s how the main ones stack up:

A man and a synthetic woman sitting at opposite ends of a sofa, turned toward each other

Candy.ai is the most common head-to-head matchup, with a similar build-your-companion-plus-images formula. In the comparisons we’ve seen, Candy.ai is generally rated above DreamGF for chat consistency and image coherence — the two areas where DreamGF draws the most complaints. It’s also cheaper at the standard rate: Candy.ai’s regular monthly plan is $13.99, barely half of DreamGF’s $25.99 renewal price.

Kindroid is widely described as the memory-first option in this category — exactly the area where DreamGF falls short. If you want a companion that remembers your conversations, that’s the direction to look for story-driven, long-term roleplay.

Promptchan leans far more toward image and video generation than conversation, making it a different category entirely. If you’re after a generator rather than a chat companion, that’s the one to check out.

And Replika sits at the opposite end as the mainstream, SFW-leaning reference point — emotional companionship rather than adult content.

DreamGF’s image generation and customization depth are its standout cards, but the recurring verdict across comparisons is consistent: it wins on visual customization and loses on memory, voice, and conversation quality. And if privacy accountability matters most to you, DreamGF’s registered EU operator and GDPR compliance give it a real edge over services run from anonymous offshore companies with no verifiable registration.

DreamGF has the deepest character builder we’ve seen and image generation that earns real praise, but the widely reported memory problems, inconsistent character images, and criticized voice quality hold it back — and the pricing model works against you. Whether that trade-off works depends entirely on what you actually want from an AI companion.

The real cost is the thing to keep front of mind. That flashy $12.99 first-month discount disappears after your initial billing period, and every plan renews at a $25.99 monthly equivalent. The annual plan is the worst offender, jumping from $5.83 to $25.99 a month. If you do decide to try DreamGF, do it at the intro price, set a reminder to cancel before renewal, and treat the first month as your trial period rather than a commitment.

There’s also the app store problem to navigate. DreamGF is browser-only, so any app you find under its name in the Apple App Store or Google Play is from an unrelated developer. Stick to the real domain and ignore everything else.

Credit where it’s due: DreamAI SRL is a registered Romanian company, and that means GDPR protections apply to your data in ways most competitors can’t match. It’s a legitimate operation with real legal accountability, which is more than you can say for a large share of this category.

Here’s where we have to be straight with you about the limits of our assessment. We can’t publish a user-sentiment score for DreamGF, because independent user feedback is almost nonexistent — a handful of reviews on review platforms, no meaningful community discussion, and mostly third-party promotion ranking in search. That’s an odd situation for a service this visible, and it’s why we’ve been explicit throughout about where each judgement in this review comes from.

That’s also where you come in. If you’ve used DreamGF, we want to hear from you. Share your experience on HushVerified and help other people make a smarter choice than they could on their own. Your experience is what’s missing from this review, and it’s the only way to build a real picture of what this service is like long-term.

For a wider view before you decide, our Candy.ai review covers DreamGF’s closest rival in depth. DreamGF is a strong pick if images and character depth are what you care about most. Just know exactly what you’re paying, and don’t let the intro price fool you into thinking it’s the rate you’ll keep.
